Payroll Specialist

Description

We are a bookkeeping firm specializing in bookkeeping, payroll, and individual and business tax preparation, seeking an experienced payroll specialist. This is a remote/office hybrid position. Our office is located in Longmont, Colorado.

Individual is responsible for primarily for processing payroll, payroll taxes and reports. There will also be bookkeeping and preparing monthly financial statements, ndividual will rely upon instructions from supervisor, and their own education and work experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Processing payroll and quarterly payroll reports
• Prepare W2s and 1099s at year end-Work as part of a team on bigger projects to get them completed on time
• Prepare monthly financials such as P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts in Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks online
• Processing A/P and A/R for clients

Qualifications

• Certified Payroll Professional
• 2-3 years payroll processing of various companies.
• 2-3 years Quickbooks Desktop experience
• Proficient with Excel
• Associates or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Sales Tax experience preferred
• Quickbooks Online Experience preferred
• Experience with tax preparation preferred
