Job Description

Peterson Holding Company has a need for a Financial Analyst at our San Leandro, CA location.

Summary

This position is responsible for supporting all phases of financial planning, including monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting. The Analyst is responsible for analysis of all compiled financials and reporting those findings to upper management as appropriate.

• Work with operations and administrative and professional teams to prepare quarterly rolling forecasts and annual business plans, and present to upper management.
• Challenge the reasonableness of financial forecasts based upon historical performance, identified improvement initiatives and economic data.
• Prepare variance analysis of forecast and actual financial results.
• Work with the businesses on key financial and operating metrics for driving improvements in financial performance.
• Monitor, track, evaluate, suggest and build financial performance metrics.
• Continuously streamline processes to eliminate inefficiencies and improve results.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business units and administrative and professional teams to achieve strong business results.
• Develop and maintain Adaptive Insights environment, which includes dashboards, reports, models and other system requirements.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required.
• No more than 10% of travel to branch stores, seminars and conferences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Finance or Accounting or other closely related field; and a minimum of three years of hands-on financial analysis experience with proficiency in SQL and Adaptive Insights, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

The pay range for this position is: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
