Accounting Assistant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in the non-profit industry, based in Indio, California. The Accounting Assistant will carry out a range of accounting duties, including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role also requires the monitoring of customer accounts and taking necessary action when needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle the processing of customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Maintain precise records of customer credit.
• Carry out account reconciliations as required.
• Utilize accounting software systems to manage financial data.
• Ensure the accurate and timely management of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Conduct regular auditing activities to ensure financial compliance.
• Perform bank reconciliations to track company expenditures and revenues.
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for various accounting functions.
• Assist in the month-end close procedures to ensure timely reporting.
• Operate within standard working hours of 7am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.
