The Director, Global Lab Supply Chain is a key leadership role in the Global Lab Services Organization under the Analytical Services business unit. This role will build and manage the global Lab Supply Chain team under the global Laboratory Services organization to create and enforce harmonized robust processes for growth in our global Analytical Services business unit. This includes directing all, subcontracting, purchasing, sourcing, forecasting, capacity planning and financial costing. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Global Laboratory Services.
Essential Job Functions
Build a sustainable a global supply chain organization for Analytical services and development including all areas of support such as subcontracting, purchasing, sourcing, forecasting, capacity planning and financial costing.
Create, execute and maintain global supply chain processes for harmonization and transparency of global supply chain processes
Provide direction, oversight and development of team members within the global supply chain organization
Collaborate with procurement and sourcing to identify inventory/supply contracts
Oversee forecasting processes with collaboration with business development and project management teams for project pipeline
Determine and onboard appropriate capacity planning tool/system
Work with Lab Operations team for capacity planning
Work with finance and processes for financial costing and planning
Support the development of procurement strategies and supplier relationship plans that are inventive and focused on providing best value for the global organization
Facilitate, drive and take responsibility for timely decision-making and resolution of conflicts within the global supply chain team and raise issues to appropriate management level when needed
Oversee full life cycle supplier management activities including strategies to maximize competition, negotiations, and management of supplier performance
Coordinate staff with the contracts organization to ensure proper flow-downs of contract requirements, terms and conditions
Responsible to track all agreed global supply chain KPIs and report as per agreed
Continuously improve global supply chain processes and log lessons learned to share key learning and insights within the organization in support of collective knowledge bases.

Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 5+ years of prior relevant experience
Prior Employment Experience
Knowledge/experience of pharmaceutical product development, from concept through to product launch
Good Pharma knowledge and experience of pharma product development from concept to submission
Experience with base operations procurements in Analytical Services, pharmaceutical and/or medical device
Cross functional team leadership experience
Strong management and leadership skill
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Systems Experience
Familiarity with D365, LIMS and LMS
Other Skills required: (computer, language, etc.)
Hybrid
Microsoft Office Suite including Project and Visio, strong communication and presentation skills
