Reports To: Regional Supervisor

Compensation Range: $39.00 to $45.00 an hour (Depending on Experience)

We are looking for Lead Consulting Utility Foresters, also known as Contract Vegetation Program Managers or Vegetation Program Leads to join our team!

Essential Job Functions

• Lead vegetation management operations, project teams, emergency response, and outside contractor work performance.
• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Manage data.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at work site.
• Service trucks and equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in utility line clearance or species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates.
• The VPL shall have four (4) years of job-related experience with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader.
• The VPL shall have a minimum of Two (2) years of experience in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.
• The CVPM shall exhibit supervisory capabilities and be familiar with the Contractor's work practices.
• Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Proficient in map navigation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus).
