Overview

Position Summary: The Medical Assistant/Patient Services Representative I provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing a variety of patient care and clerical activities to assist physicians, nursing, and clerical personnel. This position covers both front and back-office tasks at Arcadia Urgent Care. Duties include scheduling, taking vitals, rooming patients, check-in and check-out procedures, medication administration, and point-of-care testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar efficiently.
• Take and record patient vitals accurately.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Handle check-in and check-out processes smoothly.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and report results promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year experience in pediatrics; Medical Assistant experience or relevant healthcare experience preferred.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• High level of accountability and reliability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  
  

Education/Licensure/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required.

California Medical Assistant certification preferred.

American Heart Association BLS required.

Schedule: Variable Days; 4:00PM - 12:00AM weekdays and weekends inlcuded

Pay Scale Information

$39,728.00-$68,650.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
