Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Regional Managers to achieve financial objectives while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and empower talented individuals to enhance team performance.
  • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with ownership and management teams.
  • Facilitate effective regional communications to keep teams informed of critical updates.
  • Conduct property inspections to uphold company standards and resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Coach direct reports on budgeting, expense management, capital improvements, and maintenance protocols.
  • Assist teams in resolving resident and employee conflicts, providing support and guidance.
  • Ensure that all property management personnel are well-versed in corporate policies and procedures.
  • Hold regular meetings with Regional Managers for continuous improvement and alignment.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of property performance, translating insights into actionable operational strategies.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in affordable housing operations, with a strong track record in leadership roles.
  • Proficient in managing Low Income Housing Tax Credit, HUD properties, and related compliance measures.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance maximization.
  • Strong financial acumen, adept at budgeting and management of financials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of resolving conflicts effectively.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading affordable housing operations, including a background as a Regional Manager.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven success in managing multiple landlords and ownership groups, as well as asset and personnel management.
  • Expertise in MS 365 and Yardi software platforms.
