Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Billing Specialist, where you will be integral to our Revenue Cycle operations. This role involves executing various billing, accounting, and administrative functions while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work under close supervision, adhering to established procedures and internal controls for all billing transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and enhance expertise in managing service-to-payment conversion processes, including denials and service error management.
• Verify patient insurance and eligibility through online portals and phone communications, ensuring accurate updates to patient accounts.
• Accurately document patient demographics and maintain updated insurance information.
• Determine the necessity for pre-authorizations and secure them for scheduled procedures via phone, website, or forms.
• Receive and post payments from clients efficiently.
• Engage with patients and clinical programs to gather necessary additional insurance information.
• Monitor and fulfill daily fax requests effectively.
• Communicate essential updates regarding insurance and other matters to relevant staff members.
• Meet established production metrics consistently.

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting pay at $18/hour, with increases based on years of experience.
• Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.
