Key Responsibilities
- Tool Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve tooling issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Tool Design Support: Assist in the design and modification of tools and fixtures to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to support product development and process improvements.
- Training: Provide training and support to operators on proper tool usage and maintenance practices.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all tooling operations comply with company and regulatory standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining, tool making, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tooling Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling design, and maintenance practices.
- Proficient in using precision measurement tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.
