Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee all facets of our service department, driving enhancements in business performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This pivotal role requires a proactive leader who can identify opportunities for process improvement and foster robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the service team, ensuring they receive appropriate training and adhere to safety protocols, including the completion of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms for all scheduled activities.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and ensure that team expectations are clearly communicated and training needs are met.
  • Oversee all aspects of personnel management, which includes recruitment, training, employee development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment by adhering to maintenance schedules.
  • Strategically schedule service work and monitor team performance against established expectations.
  • Accurately manage service cost allocation using the business system's service management module.
  • Oversee inventory management and indirect materials usage effectively.
  • Conduct site surveys to prepare accurate bid recommendations and JHAs.
  • Monitor filtration usage and performance at service customer locations, ensuring efficient completion of service work.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and effective communication.
  • Conduct forecasting and budgeting of sales and usage for service customers and monitor system cleanliness metrics as needed.
  • Identify defect sources and recommend appropriate filtration solutions while promoting opportunities for business growth.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid follow-through capabilities.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks under pressure with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
  • High mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and apply technical concepts.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in service or business management is required.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Experience in filtration or industrial settings is advantageous.
