Key Skills

Spark, Hive, and other data processing engines running on YARN, python, YARN, Hadoop, and related big data technologies.

Location

Sunnyvale, CA , onsite 5 days a week

Experience

Role Description

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of YARN, Hadoop, and related big data technologies.
• Experience with Spark, Hive, and other data processing engines running on YARN.
• Proficient in resource management practices and familiarity with managing large-scale computing clusters.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and convey them to varied audiences.

• Experience in building and sustaining developer communities.

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a Developer Advocate role or similar capacity.
• Experience with containerization technologies and running applications in containerized environments.
• Knowledge of Uber’s internal tools and processes, particularly those related to big data.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $66,000 to $112,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
