Materials Handler II

Overview The Material Handler II is a full time overtime eligible position that reports to the Materials Management Team The Materials Handler I is responsible for performing manual and clerical duties related to shipping receiving inspecting storing issuing and delivering a variety of materials equipment and supplies Essential Functions Counts weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading invoices orders or other recordsExamines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with purchasing to rectifyPerform cycle counts on inventory itemsPrepares materials for shipment by picking packaging and shippingPrepare orders for shipments in accordance with pick tickets customer requirements and packaging guidelines IATA and DOT through accepted methodspracticesOperates material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storageProcesses RMAs Return Material AuthorizationReceives incoming product in the systemMaintain finished goods in the cold room & warehouse this includes first in first out monitoring expiration dates lots serial numbers locations and kit creationPrepares and ships international shipmentsNothing in this job description restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any timeKnowledge Skills & Abilities Required General shipping or Warehouse experience 2 plus yearsBasic math skills including the ability to add subtract multiply and divide in multiple units of measureProficiency in MS Excel and MS Office products as well as PC based equipment printers and other peripheralsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently to prioritize responsibilitiesValid drivers licenseThe ability to work the departmentschedule of M F 900am 600pmPreferred High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to obtain a forklift licensePhysical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds frequentlyAble to occasionally move about inside the warehouse as well as the facilityAble to remain stationary for an extended length of timeOperate computers and other office equipmentPush pull carry or maneuver heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devicesTraverse about the facility carry and climb ladders work from heights crawl under equipment and have the dexterity to work with trade toolsAble to function in extreme hot and cold weather and non weather conditions such as freezers
