Staff Accountant

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This role involves various accounting duties, including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and handling customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Maintaining and updating the general ledger on a regular basis
• Preparing and posting journal entries to the ledger
• Performing month-end close activities, including financial statement preparation and analysis
• Utilizing NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, for various accounting functions
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions based on account status
• Resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts in a timely and professional manner
• Ensuring accurate customer credit records are maintained and updated
• Processing customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
  
  

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Proven experience as a staff accountant or relevant role
• Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experienced in bank reconciliations and general ledger operations
• Ability to prepare journal entries and month-end close procedures
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must adhere to ethical standards and comply with company policies and regulations.
