Overview

The Clinical Director (CD) at Verbal Beginnings encompasses a blend of clinical leadership, administration, and direct client support, all while upholding the organization's core values. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Verbal Beginnings’ mission and values are upheld while delivering high-quality care and support to both clients and staff.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Provide both administrative and clinical leadership to staff and teams.
    • Directly supervise and support Clinical Supervisors (CSs).
    • Ensure that all staff members are adhering to the organization’s core values and strategic plan.
  • Client and Family Support:
    • Address and respond to questions and concerns from families.
    • Ensure high-quality services are delivered to clients, aligning with the organization’s mission.
  • Collaboration with Center Director:
    • Work closely with the Center Director to implement and monitor systems, supports, and programs.
    • Oversee the quality of client services and the efficiency of staff supervision.
    • Provide clinical and administrative support to staff as needed.

    • Ability to manage and oversee multiple aspects of clinical and administrative operations.

    • Deep understanding of clinical practices and the ability to provide effective supervision and guidance to Clinical Supervisors.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills to support and address client and family concerns.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Previous Experience Supervising BCBAs
  • Completion of a Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing (BCBA)
  • Completion of 8 hours supervision course approved by the BACB

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Previous experience with supervision per BACB standards
  • Previous experience with early intervention with an emphasis on Verbal Behavior
  • Experience with programming based on Skinner's analysis of language.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Licensure to practice ABA in the State of Maryland (LBA)
  • BLS/CPR certification including pediatric BLS/CPR
