Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all IT systems, products, and services meet established standards and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with the applications development team throughout the software development lifecycle, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and security measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute procedures to verify that IT systems align with minimum quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the applications development team on software development projects, ensuring thorough engagement in areas such as technical support and security.
  • Manage change control processes to guarantee a zero-defect development environment.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and findings comprehensively.
  • Develop and maintain a historical file database for tracking purposes.
  • Provide periodic updates and detailed reports to your assigned manager or supervisor.
  • Analyze current workflows and recommend quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Propose new or improved QA practices and procedures to elevate operational quality.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members to foster their professional development.
  • Assist in creating QA documentation, manuals, and training programs.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of IT/business systems within an agency context.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local regulations relevant to operations.
  • Proficiency in QA testing methodologies and reporting standards.
  • Extensive experience in applications development and technical support frameworks.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively, employing innovative solutions when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and experience in writing test cases.
