Job Title: Salesforce Administrator

Reports to: Director of Systems

Worksite Designation: Telework

Live in Washington, Idaho or Oregon. Must be able to travel to the office or other location as needed for in-person meetings including team events. Can expect approximately 90% of the time telecommute and 10% in-person at office or other location.

Organizational Overview

The SEIU Healthcare 1199NW Multi-Employer Training Fund (Training Fund) is a non-profit, labor/management partnership including eight major healthcare employers and the largest healthcare union in Washington State. The Training Fund was formed in 2008 and is a statewide program that addresses the workforce needs of participating employers and supports the career, knowledge, and skill aspirations of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members. The Training Fund is the sponsor of the state-registered Health Care Apprenticeship Consortium (HCAC) and of the Virtual Healthcare Institute (VHI) serving a range of regional employers, unions, union members, and student candidates.

Position Overview

As the Salesforce Administrator, you will be the primary expert on the Salesforce platform and any additional applications that interact with Salesforce, including the day-to-day oversight of Training Fund’s Salesforce platform. Responsibilities include: configuring Salesforce to meet business requirements, providing best practice recommendations and implementing functionality for a range of internal stakeholders and projects. You will work closely with leadership, program leads, support administrators, operations team, internal stakeholders and our external Salesforce developer partners within a fast-growing environment to ensure core systems are built for scale and delivery of key insights.

Essential Job Functions

Incumbent must have the skills, abilities and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Manage and administer the Salesforce environment, including customization, configuration, maintenance, security, user management, data integrity, and integration with other applications that support the organization’s business processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement Salesforce customizations using automation tools.
  • Partner with organizational leadership to drive efficiency through tooling and process automation, leveraging LEAN principles.
  • Test configurations, integrations and automations developed by external Salesforce contractor.
  • Follow SDLC best practices, including design reviews, standardized deployment plans, and rollback plans.
  • Ensure reporting is created and structured for the Leadership Team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to all Training Fund end users.
  • Create reports and dashboards to convey data insights across teams; perform necessary research and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data insights strategy and design. Including ensuring dashboards and reports are precise and accurate, meeting intended requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to create and socialize data integrity strategy; communicate with stakeholders to ensure team compliance with data purity processes and procedures.
  • Work with users to troubleshoot Salesforce issues and implement solutions; monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform.
  • Define user needs and work with the Training Fund’s Salesforce consultant to deliver custom applications.
  • Communicate thoroughly and punctually with stakeholders regarding enhancements, changes, updates, etc.
  • Provide backup support for Data Administrator & Quality Specialist.
  • Acts as an organizational representative in all situations, setting a strong example of professionalism, work completion and quality, and commitment to organizational goals and ethics.
  • Prioritizes efforts in a highly-organized manner while maintaining flexibility in scheduling, and adhering to quality requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Provides backup coverage for other team members, as needed.
  • Works closely with contractors and vendors as needed to facilitate services.
  • Completes other duties and performs other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
  • Some experience in IT management or a related role.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with a solid understanding of standard and custom objects, workflows, integrations, security, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to comprehend, retain, and apply specific policy information.
  • Commitment to personal growth and development of racial equity and inclusion, as well as a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion as related to access. Experience working with diverse populations and addressing unique needs.

Required Items

  • Successful completion of background check is required.
  • Needs to live in or move to the State of Washington, Oregon or Idaho.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
  • COVID-19 complete vaccination, shot documentation required or proof of meeting state or federal law, including medical disability under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, for not vaccinating.
  • Ability to follow privacy policies (like the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), etc.) and respect confidential information.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent 8-10 yrs work experience in relevant field.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and Advanced Administrator certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the TF’s facilities, partner organizations, and classroom locations.

Work Environment: Telework

This position provides services primarily in Washington State remotely and in person. Training Fund educational operations include limited program work in Oregon and Alaska. The position requires you to have a space to telework from for remote work. This position will require travel on an as-needed basis and during some non-traditional hours (early mornings, later evenings, and occasional weekends) to meet with participants and attend meetings at locations such as hospitals, schools, public places (community buildings, event venues, etc.), and partner organization sites. Note: COVID restrictions may require a higher level of remote work.

Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $71,459- $101,358
  • Above average retirement package
