Job Summary:

The Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating the onboarding and orientation processes for new hires. This heavily administrative position supports recruitment and human resources by ensuring all onboarding tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists the recruitment and human resources team with all administrative tasks related to the recruitment, interview, and hiring processes 
  • Input new hire data and maintain accuracy of new hire spreadsheet
  • I-9 documentation via iSolved, upload IDs and I-9 backups, maintain folder for accuracy
  • Process background checks through iSolved and informs recruiting as necessary
  • Send out email to recruiting following each orientation to show attendance
  • Scan and file all new hire paperwork from orientation both tangibly and digitally
  • Updates and disposition new hires in spreadsheet daily based on production attendance
  • Files and processes worker's comp claims and maintains all records  
  • Audit timecards prior to payroll on a weekly basis

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Experience working with payroll, benefits, performing background checks and completing I-9's
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel performing pivot tables, charts and graphs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes as dictated by the business needs
  • Knowledge of HR policies and best practices



Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in HR or related field - Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field
