Position Title: Continuous Improvement Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Continuous Improvement Specialist with robust project management expertise in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background or related exposure, enabling effective collaboration within our team.

Position Summary

This hands-on role will be pivotal in spearheading our continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will be tasked with analyzing, developing, and executing cost reduction strategies while promoting a culture of operational excellence across our US Business Unit. You will engage with peers to establish and execute strategies for Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the alignment and accomplishment of operational excellence goals, focusing on cost efficiency.
• Assist in the coordination of working capital goal-setting and budgeting, facilitating Kaizen implementation and sustainability.
• Drive the implementation and ongoing maintenance of visual management tools to foster improvements in working capital and operational excellence.
• Provide training to team members on Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Set and monitor cost reduction targets, budgets, objectives, and key performance indicators for current and future projects.
• Participate in developing and executing strategic plans that align with the organization's long-term and short-term goals.

• Strong project management abilities, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are met.
• Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, machining, testing, and calibration environments.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Aerospace/Mechanical/Manufacturing) is preferred.
• A Master's degree in operations/industrial management or Lean Operations is advantageous.
• Six Sigma Blackbelt certification is preferred.
