We are a medium-sized team in need of an experienced Design Engineer. We are financially stable, and a division of a large global manufacturer traded on the S&P 500.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reverse engineering, inspection, measurement, applicable material selection of an existing product and figuring out how it works.
• Utilize manual hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, microscope, hardness tester, optical comparator, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) or 3D scanning device to establish identical materials, dimensions, tolerances, processes and manufacturing specifications. Research new materials and methods of development.
• Design, test/validate and build mechanical/electrical aviation safety components and equipment to support Ameon businesses.
• Review designs for accuracy, functionality and manufacturability.
• Estimate effort and schedule required and maintain trackers for the ongoing tasks.
• Utilize and incorporate general mechanical design principles, including design for manufacturing (DFM) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge of aircraft structure, materials, strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions and processes such as corrosion prevention, fatigue and tolerance stack analysis best practices.
• Provide technical solutions support for a wide range of assign sustaining engineering tasks. Create DCN/ECN and update manufacturing/testing process Route Sheet. Work independently to analyze, interpret and translate source data into the product.
• Mechanical aptitude ability is required to understand the function and intent of various design changes. Perform drawing checks and update drawings for revised submittals.
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards.
• General understanding of aerospace AS9100 quality management system, material properties, including metals and plastics. Ability to define and document processes as required.
  
  

Our Team

Our team is located in Baldwin Park, CA. You will be on the front line of our effort to provide Design Engineering services. You will report to and gain direction from the Design Engineering manager.

We Need Your Experience To Include

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree or equivalent.
• Great written and oral communications skills
• Advanced level of proficiency in AutoCad Inventor Professional 2020+ or equivalent, MS Office (Word,Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
