Job Objectives:

Endeavor Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Central Operations Manager to oversee the centralized functions of the bank. This role is critical in ensuring the Bank operates in a high standard of quality and consistent service delivered to the clients. Operations responsibilities are processing transactions with various system applications, research and adjustments, exception item processing, maintaining records, domestic and international wire transfers, and operational fraud monitoring.


Strategic Objectives:

  • The Central Operations Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and leading the efficient and effective delivery of all centralized activities with adherence to all regulatory requirements. 
  • Working effectively with various departments to strategize on various Cross Functional related topics or issues. 
  • Planning and preparing annual budget requirements for department.
  • Process Design (establishing effective, flexible, and efficient operational processes)
  • Optimize all existing processes for efficiency and deliver the highest quality service across all activities under the department.
  • Identify the operational risk areas and find suitable fraud monitoring mitigation without interrupting the day-to-day operation delivered to the clients. 
  • Project owner for all department related internal and bank wide projects related to Central Operations.


Management and Execution:

  • Manage department staffing needs and cost and expense aiming to reduce cost wherever possible without impacting quality.
  • Lead and influence a team by strong leadership and management style with accountability and establishing quarterly and annual goals in line with the Bank’s strategic annual and long-term goals. 
  • Act as owner and lead in all Audit and Compliance related issues, prompt audit remediation efforts and tracking, and report status to Leadership.


People Management

  • Evaluate employee performance and meet with direct reports quarterly on a one-on-one basis quarterly providing ongoing feedback to drive a performance driven culture.  
  • Take overall responsibility for identifying training needs and completion of mandatory training.
  • Mentor and coach the team to develop capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators to each employee to ensure that key factors of their performance are being evaluated under the parameters established in the KPI.

 

Key Responsibilities


Wire Transfer Management:

  • Oversee and manage all incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in wire transfer operations.
  • Implement security/fraud monitoring measures for wire transfer processes.


ACH Receipt Compliance:

  • Ensure all ACH receipts comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Monitor ACH transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues.


Exception Item Processing:

  • Manage the processing of the Bank’s daily incoming exception items (Non Posted, NSF/OD, Check Adjustments, ACH/Card error resolution processing - Reg E).
  • Ensure timely and accurate resolution of exceptions and claims.
  • Implement fraud monitoring/mitigation processes/systems surrounding all operational functions related to card, check, ACH, and wires.


Dormant/Escheatment and Legal Process:

  • Oversee the management of dormant accounts and legal process claims.
  • Conduct escheatment processes in compliance with state and federal regulations.


Reconciliations and Certifications:

  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts and financial data.
  • Ensure all certifications are completed accurately and timely.


 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in managing bank operations, with a focus on wire transfer management and ACH receipt compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
