Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the laboratory department, managing staff, budget, and overall operations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission requirements
• Oversee quality control and quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of testing accuracy and patient safety
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to optimize diagnostic services and patient outcomes
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery
• Develop and mentor laboratory staff, ensuring a culture of teamwork and professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• ASCP certification required (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, including 3 years in a management role
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and laboratory best practices
