Clinical Nutrition Manager

Duties

Burcham Hills is an upscale senior living retirement community located in the backyard of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. We currently have a vacancy for a Clinical Nutrition Manager to work a Full-Time schedule. In this position a Clinical Nutrition Manager will oversee the nutritional care of residents of Burcham Hills Community, participate in Management of Dining Services Department, manage clinical and support staff and in addition to but not limited to the following duties:

Oversee the nutritional care of Residents in CHR

• Complete nutrition assessments and at risk follow ups.
• Develop resident nutritional care plans- monitor for effectiveness and revise as needed.
• Coordinate Registered Dietitian Services related industry standards and regulatory guidelines in that area ensuring proper compliance maintained at all times. Reporting concerns to Director of Food and Beverage will maintaining RDs schedule and workflow to achieve both clinical and fiscal results.
• Prepare for and/or attend interdisciplinary and family care conferences and other meetings as needed. Including but not limited to department meetings, morning meetings, clinical meetings, daily wrap up meeting, daily department huddles.
• Oversee resident table service and meal delivery, assuring compliance with OBRA regulations and physician diet orders.
• Coordinate resident nourishment system.
  
  

Management of CHR Dining Services Department Operations.

• Work closely with Dining Leadership team in coordinating and ensuring that all operational tasks are completed for effective running of Dining Department.
• Direct supervision of staff, supervisors, dietary aides and diet technician- may include but not limited to hiring, evaluations, in-services, meal time rounding and real time corrective action related discipline of employees.
• Complete or ensure proper completion and follow up on any deficient areas noted on daily, weekly or monthly audits assigned.
• Assist in supervision of any other Dining Services Employees as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ Experience in SNF Dining Leadership role
• Graduate of 4-year program in dietetics, nutrition or related field or:
• Certified Dietary Manager or Dietetic Technician, Registered with at least 1-year clinical dietetics experience.
• ServSafe Food Certified (or ability to obtain after hire)
• Alcohol ServSafe Certified preferred (not required)
