Jr. Quality Assurance Analyst:

The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for Software and Hardware testing, defect and release management, maintaining documentation and contributing to test lab infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities:

• Software and Hardware Testing: Conduct Functional, Regression, Smoke, UAT, Software-update, and Promotion Content Testing using tools such as TestRail, QMetry or similar software. Execute predefined or basic acceptance criteria based on created test cases to ensure menu boards display content correctly. Participate in hardware testing.
• Test Data and Lab Infrastructure: Under the supervision of more senior-level QA, contribute to establishing a new test lab infrastructure customized and aligned with the specific needs of the projects. Ensure the availability and accuracy of test data.
• Documentation: Contribute to the development and upkeep of test documentation, such as test plans, test cases, and verification checklists for functionality and content. Utilize Jira, Test Rail, QMetry and Confluence for collaborative documentation purposes.
• Defect Management: Identify and report defects, including incorrect application behavior, layout issues, typos, incorrect pricing, hardware-related issues, and other discrepancies. Manage the defect log using tools like Jira.
• Release Management : Follow release management processes for accurate documentation utilizing tools such as Confluence and Jira. Actively contribute to pre-release testing.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, project managers, and content creators to provide feedback and ensure product quality. Utilize Slack or other communication tools for efficient communication within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred; Will also accept equivalent practical experience in IT.
• Minimum 1 year in Software Quality Assurance
• Familiarity with Digital Menu Board products is a plus.
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JSON, Windows OS, Mac OS, Web applications, Development tools
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Tableau Analytics and SQL for database testing, Linux commands, networking and IPs, Cypress or similar automation frameworks
• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as a team
