Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy Services to lead our dynamic Pharmacy Department at a distinguished hospital facility located in San Joaquin County, California. This role is pivotal in managing the medication use process through strategic planning, organization, and operational oversight. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the operations and clinical activities of the Pharmacy Department.
• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Recruit, train, and retain a skilled pharmacy team while fostering a culture of excellence.
• Develop and implement effective systems to prevent drug diversion and ensure patient safety.
• Create and manage the annual operating budget, along with capital expenditure requests.
• Review and refine policies and procedures in accordance with hospital bylaws and best practices.

Qualifications

• Pharm. D. or BS in Pharmacy required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Pharmacist, including three (3) years in hospital Pharmacy Management, preferably in Acute/Inpatient settings.
• Previous pharmacy residency or fellowship training is preferred.
• Active California Pharmacist license is required.
