The Procurement Specialist - Category Buyer role will work closely with the category teams to manage supplier approvals and PR/PO activities within the Coupa platform. Working closely with the Category Managers, you will utilize your expertise in procurement processes and Coupa functionalities to optimize purchasing. Your responsibilities will involve hands-on engagement with suppliers, stakeholders, and the wider Procurement Team to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities/Deliverables

Coupa Buyer Role

  • Be responsible for the timely execution of the buyer processes within the Coupa, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with procurement and business objectives.
  • Facilitate issue resolution for Jazzicians by being the conduits between IS, Procurement, AP, Finance, and Legal
  • Accountable for day-to-day demand management, triaging of requests, resourcing, escalations, quality control and oversight of the Procurement support roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
  • Monitor and drive Jazzicians to the correct buying channels depending on the categories being purchased
  • Ensure all processes and procedures as part of the role are updated and documented
  • Support the Associate Director CoE – Procurement Excellence in initiatives to improve and drive efficiencies through our Guided Buying processes
  • Support for Special Projects as requested
  • Support Coupa Admins on new release functionality by reviewing benefits to our current processes and being responsible for the execution of the testing

Category Support

  • Support Category teams with their RFx's, cost benchmarking initiatives and analysis, propose recommendation
  • Support Category value-added activities (e.g., management reporting, supplier reviews, benchmarking, etc).
  • Provide guidance to Jazzicians on Procurement and Contracting policies and procedures
  • Use Category Buying knowledge to support the Category Teams in how they can use Coupa and S2P to drive more efficient ways of working and stronger compliance for their spend

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Minimum 2 years relevant Procurement/Category Management experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and/or other design programs/tools.
  • Knowledge of Coupa and SAP S/4HANA is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and tools- eagerness to continue improving technical skills and capabilities.
  • Strong process and time management skills- ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, complex environment with conflicting demands.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects with evolving requirements.
  • Self-starter with strong customer service, teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Works independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Required/Preferred Education And Licenses

  • Bachelor Degree/Associate Degree preferrable or commensurate experience

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $84,000.00 - $126,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
