Description

JOB SCOPE: S.W intern will have the opportunity to observe the many clinicians who provide services to the severely mentally ill clients who attend PROS program. The intern will be supervised by a SIFI trained LCSW or LMSW. The intern will be trained in how to facilitate a group and how to write a group note into EMR systems. The intern will carry a case load as needed (14 hours weekly = 5 clients).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Will conduct intakes as needed.
• Facilitate groups as needed.
• Maintain a case load as assigned/needed.
• Communicate with all staff members in the program/community as needed.
• Will attend training in all policies of PCMH through the Department to which assigned.
• Observers assigned PCMH Field Instructor during normal administrative and clinical duties.
• Complete all documentation as trained to do in a timely manner.
• Participates in client conferences with Field Instructor and other S.W. Interns.
• All S.W. Interns will work directly with clients, providing counseling and psychotherapy as needed, under the direct supervision of the Field Instructor.
• Will receive direct supervision and feedback from Field Instructor during entire Internship duties.
• Will attend Staff meetings and training as assigned by field instructor.
• Obtain knowledge of the PROS 512 regulations
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Ability to demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and initiative.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills that will allow for interaction with PCMH staff and clients.
• Willingness to get involved with clients and their problems.
• Willingness to learn and advance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Matriculating in a recognized Social Work Graduate program in a college/university with Internship agreement with PCMH, as either a first- or second-year student.
