Accounts Payable Clerk (Part-time)

Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Accounts Payable Clerk. This position is onsite at our West Jordan, UT office.

Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. This position is located in our San Diego, CA office and reports to our Accounting Supervisor.

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for inputting vendor invoices and credit card transactions, performing 3-way matching, preparing Excel spreadsheets, and maintaining accurate records through filing and scanning. This role requires effective communication and coordination with vendors and employees to ensure timely processing and resolution of any discrepancies.

Essential Functions:

• Accurately input and process vendor invoices into the accounting system, ensuring all relevant details are correctly recorded.
• Enter and reconcile credit card transactions, ensuring timely and accurate data entry for monthly reporting.
• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents to verify the accuracy of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets to track expenses, payments, and other financial data for reporting purposes.
• Communicate and collaborate with vendors and internal employees to address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payment processing.
• Organize, file, and maintain both digital and physical financial records for easy access and compliance purposes.
• Scan and electronically archive invoices, receipts, and other documents to ensure accurate and secure record-keeping.

Required Education and Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or related role.
• Strong ability to multitask, with keen attention to detail and a self-motivated attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.
  
  
  

Compensation:

The hourly range for this position falls within $22 and $25. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
