Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute insights across departments, supporting sales, marketing, market access, and medical affairs teams.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design research and analytical programs to meet departmental needs.
  • Synthesize cross-disciplinary learnings to provide a comprehensive market understanding.
  • Investigate key business questions related to products and pipeline, partnering with various teams.
  • Facilitate periodic business and operational reviews with Commercial and Executive teams.
  • Lead strategic and commercial planning, providing market and competitive insights for long-term growth.
  • Oversee forecasting, market analysis, and portfolio strategy to maximize patient reach and enterprise value.
  • Ensure brand strategy alignment and competitive advantage through research and insights.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence and share it with relevant teams.
  • Develop and implement governance, frameworks, and tools for new product launches.
  • Identify decision support needs, integrate data, and deliver insights that drive business results.
  • Provide recommendations for product development and in-licensing opportunities.
  • Support marketing teams with campaign strategies, promotion, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Build and lead a business operations team to support global commercialization efforts.
  • Create and maintain compliant data repositories, track customer experience, and manage resources to meet objectives.
  • Work with IT and Commercial to develop data and technology strategies, including AI applications and CRM systems.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team, setting specific goals and metrics to ensure revenue and access success.
  • Lead direct report(s) through annual goal setting, growth planning, adherence to company policies, maintain training compliance and provide ongoing feedback on growth, development and areas of improvement.

Qualifications/Skills

  • BA or BS in Health Sciences or related discipline, PhD/MD/MBA is a plus 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with relevant experience in data analysis, decision support, market research, forecasting and commercial operations.
  • Requires significant experience in a few of the following: Competitive Intelligence, Strategy Consulting, Market Research, Forecasting, launch planning and excellence. Requires prior experience in successfully developing and executing strategy through expert understanding of the market and industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale cross-functional projects.
  • Expert knowledge in capturing relevant information systematically, analyzing statistical data and identifying key issues patterns and trends.
  • Deep expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the marketplace as well as functional expertise in how to use intelligence to develop competitive strategies and long range forecasts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of global healthcare systems and markets
  • A strong aptitude for and interest in science and drug development. Well-honed problem-solving and analytical skills and good business judgment.
  • Previous experience in neurology, rare diseases with understanding of unmet medical need, standard of care and market dynamics is a plus
  • Previous experience on brand and launch teams is preferred
  • Strong command of analytical and market research techniques and experience with selection and management of vendors
  • Experience building and maintaining complex market assessments and forecast models
  • Ability to create and communicate a clear vision among direct reports, effectively aligning resources and motivating teams to achieve goals.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced growth environment
  • Strategic agility and comfortable in the face of uncertainty
  • A strong passion for developing therapies to help patients
  • Ability to balance between functional priorities and the needs of the organization
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English in verbal, written, and presentation form.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time both domestically and internationally.

Salary Range: $290,000.00 to $325,000.00 . Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
