Description

We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Coordinator - Level II to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Oshkosh, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Optimize Inventory Levels : By using statistical analysis and validated planning parameters, you’ll ensure optimal inventory levels, reducing excess stock and minimizing shortages.
  • Align Supply and Demand : You’ll synchronize the supply plan with the demand plan, driving stability and efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Enhance Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance : Reporting any work-related incidents and complying with HSE standards will contribute to a safer and healthier workplace.
  • Maintain Quality Standards : Performing quality checks and following standard work processes will help maintain high-quality standards and support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Analyze Supply and Demand : Conducting supply and demand analysis will highlight potential issues and enable proactive adjustments to meet future needs.
  • Support Decision-Making : Running simulations and analyzing the impact of planning parameter changes will provide valuable insights for decision-making and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive Continuous Improvement : Participating in improvement projects and completing training will contribute to ongoing enhancements in quality, safety, and process efficiency.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Proficiency with Materials Planning Systems : Utilize the materials planning system effectively to manage supply and demand plans. Be adept at taking corrective actions based on root cause analysis and use ad hoc tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, and OMS for problem-solving.
  • Mastering PFEP Principles : Apply the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, and to the right place. This involves managing master data, materials planning parameters, material flows, transport, and warehouse management.
  • Inventory Management and Optimization : Use analytics and algorithms to determine optimal inventory levels across the supply chain. Develop strategies that align with the company’s overall strategy, considering constraints like warehouse space and customer delivery requirements.
  • KPI Management : Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance. Identify gaps and take strategic actions to drive improvements while balancing trade-offs between different KPIs.
  • Network Master Supply Planning : Conduct statistical analysis and collaborate with other disciplines to align the supply plan with the demand plan. Ensure that the supply chain is stable and optimized to meet financial and service objectives.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Be proactive in addressing exception messages and alerts. Use root cause analysis to take long-term corrective actions and leverage various tools for effective problem-solving.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience/ Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills

Computer/systems experience

Purchasing experience helpful

APICS, NAPM or CPIM certification helpful

Qualifications

Additional Information:

The role expects a significant on-site presence. However, as agreed upon with the manager, there is potential flexibility, such as occasional work-from-home or provisional flexible scheduling.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
