School Counselor, High School - up to $52/hr

Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for High School School Counselor to work in a school setting in Lakewood, CO. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and counseling to students to help them achieve their educational and career goals, while also offering support in personal and social matters. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive environment where students can thrive.

Pay Rate: up to $52/hr

Job Duties

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address academic, career, and personal/social issues.
• Assist students with course selection, academic planning, and scheduling.
• Monitor student progress and work with teachers and parents to address any academic or behavioral concerns.
• Provide college and career guidance, including information on scholarships, college applications, and financial aid.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations on topics such as study skills, time management, and mental health awareness.
• Develop and implement programs that promote student well-being, emotional resilience, and positive decision-making.
• Serve as a liaison between students, teachers, parents, and outside services, as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress and counseling sessions.
• Assist with crisis intervention and provide referrals to outside agencies when necessary.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Valid School Counselor certification.
• Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of college admissions, career planning, and academic advising.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
