Procurement Manager - Supply Chain and Aerospace

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities within a designated business unit. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in orchestrating complex procurement and material processes, guiding initiatives from initial proposal stages through to the successful delivery of the final product. This position requires a robust understanding of compliance with governmental regulations and the ability to navigate the intricacies of supplier management effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier cost, quality, and delivery, ensuring resolution of issues within the site team and escalating as necessary.
• Facilitate the sourcing of new products and support new product introduction initiatives aligned with company policies.
• Implement cost-reduction strategies to optimize division returns while minimizing expenditures.
• Manage risks within the supply chain and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Address contractual discrepancies between purchase order specifications and supplier performance while ensuring adherence to legal standards.
• Expedite order placements and deliveries to meet manufacturing requirements and drive inventory reduction efforts.
• Develop procurement processes that promote continuous improvement across the organization.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to align with business objectives and foster team development.
  
  

Required Skills

• Demonstrated project management and facilitation expertise, with a track record of driving tasks to successful completion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of procurement best practices, particularly within aerospace or manufacturing contexts.
• Familiarity with contracts, compliance, and procurement-related government regulations.
• Proven success in negotiating supplier agreements across various contracts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management and procurement within a manufacturing context.
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, or a closely related field is mandatory.
