St. Mark Community Education Program (SMCEP) offers English classes and support in attaining citizenship to adult immigrants and their families in Dorchester, MA and surrounding towns.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for an English Conversation Group Leader at SMCEP. The Group Leader will be responsible for facilitating English conversation sessions, providing language support, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for adult immigrants and their families. This role involves coordinating and leading group discussions, activities, and exercises to enhance English language proficiency and cultural understanding.

Qualifications

English Teaching and Communication skills
Experience working with diverse immigrant populations
Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
Ability to lead and engage group discussions effectively
