Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a fast-growing, reputable insurance brokerage seeking a hybrid Employee Benefits Account Executive.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to manage our Employee Benefits practice. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving business growth, and providing strategic leadership to our employee benefits team. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions that meet their employee benefits needs while also leading and developing a team of benefits specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their employee benefits objectives and delivering exceptional service.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments for clients, analyze their employee benefits programs, and recommend customized solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the employee benefits team, guiding their efforts in client servicing, business development, and market expertise.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and high performance.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present comprehensive employee benefits proposals to clients, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other benefits offerings.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance carriers and benefits providers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for clients.
  • Client Education: Educate clients on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in employee benefits to help them make informed decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to employee benefits programs.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates on client accounts, business development activities, revenue forecasts, and team performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven success as an Account Executive within the employee benefits sector of the insurance industry.
  • Expertise in employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, voluntary benefits, wellness programs, and compliance issues.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in leading and developing a team of benefits professionals.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • A commitment to delivering superior client service and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs, analyze data, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Active insurance producer license.
