The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is designed for applicants who are interested in beginning a career in professional sports. Trainees will work full-time from January 2025 through November 2025. Applicants are encouraged to visit braves.com/trainee for more information prior to applying.

Assist the Senior Director, Entertainment & Events to ensure that all elements of Entertainment & Events are implemented correctly and follow the company’s values. Entertainment & Events includes all in-game entertainment activations and Braves special events.

The Entertainment & Events Department provides a quality and interactive entertainment experience that creates a unique Braves Baseball atmosphere. Our goal is to enhance the overall Fan Experience, thus drawing more guests to Truist Park and generate a desire to return. We also support the organization’s goals by producing first-class special events throughout the year.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Plan and coordinate plaza-based activities for gamedays.
  • Stage manage activities as assigned in both The Battery Atlanta and inside Truist Park.
  • Manage DJs, variety performers, and contracted entertainment for gamedays.
  • Manage the outside appearance requests & calendar.
  • Fulfill ticketing, parking, and credential needs for contracted guests.
  • Supervise entertainment staff at games and events.
  • Lead the load-in, sound checks, and movements of plaza groups/guests.
  • Oversee scheduling of entertainment staff.
  • Assign daily roles for the entertainment staff.
  • Manage and fulfill seat deliveries and visits.
  • Assist with planning and execution of Braves events as assigned.
  • Liaison with Event Operations and other departments for assigned events.
  • Other roles as assigned.

TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent executive presence
  • Must complete a background check

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in event planning, preferably in a sports, entertainment, or hospitality setting
  • Possess highly creative skills, able to contribute to a brainstorming environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods of time
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in various outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures & rain
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends and occasional holidays
  • Reliable transportation and driving proficiency. A valid driver’s license is required
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Possess a good business acumen with office and administrative experience, including: computing skills (Microsoft Office), verbal communication, organization, and appropriate attire.
