Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Sr. Quality Analytics Specialist is a technical leader responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide data and data systems as well as performance for programs, including, but not limited to: USNWR, CMS Stars, Vizient and Leapfrog. Incumbent is responsible for data management, including collection, management, and integrity review. Analyzes and interprets a broad scope of highly complex data and develops/generates reports and executive summaries for use by management and senior leadership in decision making.

Incumbent engages as an integral lead in independently managing a portfolio of system-level quality analytics projects. The Specialist applies advanced knowledge of business intelligence practices to lead complex projects. Utilizes extensive analytics to identify trends, problems, potential problems, and appropriate solutions; support strategic planning; and implement corrective action plans to resolve complex problems. Collaborates with system leaders to achieve the goal of improving quality and patient safety and decreasing harm to patients by strategizing and providing in-depth data analysis and consultation.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong presentation skills including experience in developing effective presentations for a variety of audiences
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Highly skilled in technical report writing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, public health, or other relevant field
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence software such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Advanced statistical expertise
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with performance improvement methodologies and techniques
  • Advanced ability to understand data and data relationships in a healthcare environment
  • Advanced ability to independently compile & prepare data using a variety of technology and presentation tools to facilitate data analysis by self and/or others
  • Ability to organize and successfully prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to function independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • 5+ years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma as an improvement methodology
