As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the culinary operations of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation: Accurately and efficiently prepare a variety of food items including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other ingredients according to recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
  • Cooking: Execute cooking methods such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and broiling with precision and consistency to ensure food is cooked to perfection and meets customer specifications.
  • Assembly: Coordinate with other kitchen team members to assemble dishes in a timely manner, ensuring presentation standards are met and maintaining the integrity of each dish.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure food quality and presentation standards are consistently upheld, and promptly address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Sanitation: Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times to ensure a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of food items, regular cleaning of equipment, and adherence to health codes.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with other kitchen staff and management regarding ingredient inventory, dish preparation, and any issues or concerns that may arise during service.
  • Efficiency: Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet high-volume demands while maintaining quality and consistency in food preparation. Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule and willingness to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed, including prep work, dishwashing, and cleaning duties.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
