The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will lead the QA team in ensuring the highest quality of our products through both manual and automated testing processes. This role will possess a strong technical background in software testing, a keen eye for detail, and proven leadership abilities. The QA Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing testing strategies, managing a diverse QA team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy that integrates both manual and automated testing practices.
  • Define quality standards, metrics, and testing methodologies in line with business objectives.


Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers specializing in both manual and automation testing.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.


Testing Process Oversight

  • Design, implement, and manage manual and automated testing processes, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new and existing features across various platforms.


Collaboration

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and quality expectations.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to provide input on quality aspects.


Automation Development

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of automation testing tools and frameworks.
  • Drive efforts to increase the automation coverage and efficiency of testing processes.


Quality Metrics and Reporting

  • Establish quality metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and product quality.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on QA status, test results, and quality issues to stakeholders.


Continuous Improvement

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in testing and QA methodologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to QA and testing.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in both manual and automated testing practices and tools.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in testing methodologies, tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in managing Agile Delivery teams.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation scripting.
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent are a plus.
