Director Marketing Innovation

Responsible for leading the development and execution of innovation and go to market strategies for the company portfolio. This role will oversee the entire innovation process—from concept generation to commercialization—while working closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, finance, sales, and supply chain.

Essential Duties:


  • Oversee the development and oversight of a 3-year innovation pipeline, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and include contingency planning and flexibility to react to market trends.
  • Collaboratively define and implement robust processes and stage gates for marketing innovation process – from concept development to year one launch plans
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities, consumer trends, available technologies and competitive products to shape future innovations
  • Utilize data and insights to inform product innovation decisions and identify untapped segments, occasions, or category white spaces
  • Implement a comprehensive innovation roadmap that aligns with the overall brand strategy and organizational goals
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for innovation success and track progress.
  • Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams to ensure product feasibility and alignment with consumer needs.
  • Manage product testing, focus groups, and other consumer feedback mechanisms to refine product ideas.
  • Develop compelling narratives and presentations to share innovation strategies and updates with senior leadership.
  • Create an incubation team to manage launches through initial consumer acceptance and optimize all aspects of the offering before handing off to the business team
  • Drive go-to-market strategies, ensuring seamless integration of new products into existing marketing campaigns and sales initiatives.
  • Manage resources and timelines for product launch, including coordinating with supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution teams.
  • Foster strong collaboration across teams to ensure alignment on innovation priorities.
  • Develop and lead team to drive collaboration and performance; provide direction, support, and guidance while addressing challenges and promoting coworker well-being.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education/ Experience/Skills:


  • Requires 8+ years of experience in product innovation, preferably with the beverage or CPG industry
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of educational and professional experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching innovative products.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights, brand positioning, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate strategies to all levels of the organization
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading projects from concept to launch.
  • Experience in collaboration and effective communication to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills


Percent of Travel: 25% to 50%

Working Conditions: Home Office, Travel (air/auto)

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Salary Range: $135,000.00 – $160,000.00
