The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing instructional materials, incorporating instructional design principles and technologies. Works collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) in designing curriculum to integrate instructional strategies in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

Required Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
• Lesson and curriculum planning skills
• Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
• Thorough knowledge of: Articulate Presenter, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Collaboration Software (i.e. Google Docs, Zoho)
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
• Excellent computer and technical trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability and willingness to pay attention to detail.
  
  

Required Experience

Required:

• Strong instructional design background required.
  
  

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, graphic design, visual communications, or related field preferred.
