Position Overview:

The Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer plays a key supporting role within the engineering team, following guidance and plans laid out by senior engineers. The role involves making independent decisions regarding the evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering techniques and methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage small-scale, discipline-specific tasks and projects independently.
  • Utilize experience with CAD and/or BIM tools in design and planning tasks.
  • Review and coordinate the work of other professionals on assigned tasks.
  • Act as the lead for moderately complex engineering projects, ensuring coordination across different disciplines.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record on approved projects.
  • Work with a clear understanding of how tasks impact project budgets and timelines.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds QA standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or the ability to obtain a PE license within six months if local.
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with the International Mechanical Code, International Building Code, and relevant regulations for mechanical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Active membership in a professional or technical society is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a customer-focused, project-driven environment.
