Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.

Working alongside professionals in a wide variety of departments with internships available in the following areas:

• Communications & Legal Risk
• IT
• Legal, Risk, Communications

• Marketing & Merchandising
• Supply Chain
• Attending unique networking opportunities in and outside of the office.
• Working alongside a mentor who is a proven leader in the organization
• Shadowing jobs across the organization to explore your career path potential
• Participating in Gordon Food Services’ community and stewardship efforts.
• Developing personal and professional skills through workshops about communication, LinkedIn, corporate presence, and more.
  
  

Find your place in our Brands department with an internship available on Brands Specialist Team. This internship will provide you a well rounded experience as you’ll be working with the GFS Brands team.

In addition to the impactful work you will complete within your department, you will:

• Communicating with stakeholders (internal and external)
• Managing the image process for new and key items
• Collaborating with category specialists on product information
• Ensuring robust e-commerce content for new item launches

Being an intern at Gordon Food Service, North America's largest family-owned broadline food service distributor.

Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2025 internship program:

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor degree
• Incoming Junior or Senior status as of May 2025 (Minimum of 56 credit hours)
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
