Step into the role of a Title Operations Intern, where your contributions are at the heart of maintaining precise listings and organized files. This position involves essential responsibilities, including mail processing, document management, and ensuring the accuracy of our listings. The Title Operations Intern assists the Title Operations team in maintaining accurate records and files, updating internal systems, processing incoming and outgoing mail and other support tasks as needed. This role involves tasks like handling mail, organizing documents, updating internal records, assigning titles and communicating with other departments. The ideal candidate is diligent, efficient, and open to learning new tasks to support the team's success.

Responsibilities

  • Record Management: Organize and maintain scanned records, ensuring easy access and retrieval when needed.
  • Document Management: Maintain documents using appropriate filing systems to facilitate the smooth transfer of title documents pre and post-auction stages.
  • Mail Processing: Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently, distributing it to the appropriate recipients or departments.
  • Listing Maintenance: Update and maintain listing accuracy according to Purple Wave's standards, ensuring all information is current and correct.
  • Document Organization: Maintain and organize document files and folders, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-organized.
  • Quality Control: Review listings for accuracy and consistency, making necessary corrections or updates as needed.
  • Title Processing: Process incoming and outgoing title documents, updating internal systems accordingly with high accuracy.
  • Interdepartmental Communication: Collaborate effectively with various departments, fostering open communication and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Listing Operations team.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma: A high school diploma is required for this position.
  • Education Status: Candidates should be either recent high school graduates or current college students, demonstrating their eligibility for the role.
  • Efficient Time Management: Demonstrated ability to use time efficiently and effectively to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of listings and records.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact efficiently with the Listing Operations team and other departments.
  • Quick Learner: Ability and willingness to quickly grasp new tasks and adapt to changing responsibilities.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset, working effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Working Settings

  • Part-time hourly employee eligible for overtime.
  • Preferred minimum 12 hours per week, schedule to be determined in agreement with the manager during Purple Wave’s office hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate $14.00 per hour.
  • Monthly Bonus Program at 50% level - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $150, 100% = $300, 110% = $450, 120% = $600).
  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment .
