We are looking to fill a remote Accounts Payable Specialist position. This person will provide overall support to the Accounts Payable group and the Finance Department by managing and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive vendor invoices, obtain approvals to pay, and submit in Unanet accounting system for posting and payment
  • Post/Reconcile cash paid from bank accounts daily
  • Assist in the weekly check run by uploading checks to Project Managers and updating IRIS
  • Conducts expense report training for new hires
  • Receive and verify completeness of expense reports.  Ensure that supporting receipts and statements are submitted to back-up reimbursement claims.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of credit card statements and related transactions.
  • Corresponds with vendors and clients and responds to inquiries.
  • Assists with month end and year end closing/Audits.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating Finance Team Policies and Procedures in SharePoint
  • Creates and maintains Vendor Profiles
  • Collects and manages Vendor W9s
  • Assisting with improvements to the AP processes
  • Other AP duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (Optional).
  • Minimum 2 years accounts payable or general accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable.
  • Knowledge of General Accounting Procedures.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook with ability to learn new skills.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in new software such as Unanet.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.

Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $25 - $30/Hourly

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce
