Job Purpose:

The Vice President of Marketing will lead our marketing team by generating property visitation, growing the database through a comprehensive strategy that drives brand awareness, and ultimately increases revenue and profit. This leadership role seamlessly integrates brand marketing, advertising, strategic partnerships, guest experience and cutting-edge analytics to deliver a powerful and measurable marketing experience. This position will leverage data to optimize casino promotions & events, ensuring they resonate with target audiences and drive player engagement.

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Lead evolution and implementation of data-driven marketing and advertising strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, utilizing customer relationship management tools, marketing automation platforms, and advanced analytics capabilities. These strategies will encompass the development and execution of impactful casino promotions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and data-centric decision-making, with a focus on optimizing casino promotions based on player data and market research.
  • Oversee all casino marketing, promotions, and advertising activities, including:
    • Promotion & Special Events
    • Brand management
    • Content marketing
    • Public relations
    • Market research
    • Strategic Partnerships
  • Database marketing: Leverage player data to segment audiences, personalize offers, and drive targeted marketing campaigns that maximize player acquisition, retention, and lifetime value, including the development of data-driven casino promotions to stay ahead of the local market.
  • Drive the development and execution of impactful marketing and advertising campaigns across various channels (online, offline, social media), utilizing A/B testing and data analysis to optimize performance for maximum ROI, with a focus on promoting casino offerings and increasing player engagement.
  • Analyze marketing and advertising performance metrics (including traditional and digital channels), identify areas for improvement, and translate insights into actionable strategies, including optimizing casino promotions for greater effectiveness.
  • Manage the marketing and advertising budget and ensure efficient resource allocation, leveraging data insights to optimize spending across channels, campaigns, and casino promotions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, agencies, and media outlets, leveraging partnerships to expand reach and amplify marketing efforts and promote casino offerings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer behavior through ongoing market research and competitive analysis. Utilize data to understand Sycuan Casino Resort's position in the market and identify opportunities for differentiation, especially concerning casino promotions.
  • Provide strategic guidance and data-driven insights to the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Advertising, informing decision-making across the entire marketing function, including the development and execution of casino promotions.
Job Specifications:

Education and Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the casino and/or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful data-driven marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Experience in media planning and buying (TV, radio, print, outdoor, online).
  • Experience with database marketing and a passion for leveraging customer data to personalize marketing efforts.
