The Head of Global Logistics will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the ResMed’s global logistics strategy, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management across multiple regions (APAC, EMEA, Americas). This position will ensure the seamless flow of raw materials and finished goods while optimizing logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of global logistics and supply chain management.

The Head of Global Logistics primary responsibilities will consist of the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that goods are efficiently transported, and they are delivered to On Time and In Full (OTIF) across the global supply chain network.
  • Liaising with vendors to come up with the optimal and cost-effective transport cost.
  • Maintenance of annual budget targets in partnership with the financial team.
  • Initiates investigations into process failures and identifies and implements appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develops a strategy of continuous improvement to include productivity and efficiency improvements methodology.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support ResMed's global supply chain, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and distribution teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics processes, optimizing production schedules and inventory levels for timely delivery to the last mile in global markets.
  • Understands 3PL market, contract terms and ability to negotiate favorable rates that lowers overall cost to serve.
  • Oversee last mile delivery operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Leverage technology and digital solutions to enhance logistics operations and drive efficiencies.
  • Deep understanding of logistics market and trends that could influence the supply of good into the region.


Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred or
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in a global organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics processes, including procurement, manufacturing, distribution, and last mile delivery.
  • Deep comprehension of 3PL providers, logistics software and technology solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs laws, import/export compliance, and environmental regulations affecting global logistics operations.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including inbound logistics, warehousing, transportation, and outbound distribution.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze logistics data and make data-based decisions.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel 35% of the time.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:

$163,000 - $24,000
