Maintenance Electrician III

Job Description:

This is a position in the Facilities Management department that requires completion of an electrical apprenticeship or training program, or licensure in the trade. Significant experience in a healthcare setting is required.

Regardless of specialty, a Maintenance Specialist may be required to perform other maintenance tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or assisting with other projects.

Essential Functions

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in the hospital, including lighting, power, and control systems.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoots and diagnose electrical problems and make necessary repairs.
• Ensures all electrical work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
• Leads others in accomplishing work or projects.
• Coordinates with planning and construction teams to ensure project work meets the needs of the existing facility.
• Works closely with other members of the facilities management team to coordinate electrical work with other maintenance and repair activities.

• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
• The ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings and plans.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience as a licensed or master electrician.
• Demonstrated abilities in the area applied for.
• A valid driver license may be required for this position.

• Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$33.04 - $50.27
