Job Description

Craig Tuttle Construction is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Omaha, NE. The Draftsperson will play a crucial role in the development and execution of architectural plans and drawings for various construction projects. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and strong technical skills in architectural drafting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop detailed construction plans, utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Prepare clear and accurate architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and other related documents to identify potential conflicts and design issues.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Make necessary revisions and modifications to drawings based on feedback from project teams.
• Coordinate with other drafters, designers, and engineers to incorporate various design elements into the final plans.
• Maintain and update drawing files, project documentation, and records.
• Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimation.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Draftsperson, preferably in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural drafting, building codes, and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing drawings.
• Ability to interpret and understand architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Associate degree or certification in drafting or a related field is preferred.
