CFO - Chief Financial Officer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team in Albany, New York. You will be responsible for a variety of financial and accounting tasks, including but not limited to, managing all accounting operations, coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and implementing appropriate financial strategies for the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, as well as the ability to work in a hybrid workplace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
• Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to management and board of directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
• Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
• Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firm's performance.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
• Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Responsible for corporate and subsidiary financial statements including balance sheets, income and cash flow statement.
• Implement financial and operational best practices including potentially automating paper-based processes.
• Manage the pension and union-related financial aspects.
• Work on the consolidation of financial year 24 and prepare for audit.
• Support the use of Financial Edge, KeyBank, and Gray Point systems.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a significant advantage
• Demonstrated experience in managing Business Systems
• Should possess a deep understanding of Accounting Functions
• Prior experience in Auditing is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Budget Processes is expected
• Ability to handle Capital Management effectively
• Expertise in Cash Flow Analysis is essential
