Position Summary
The Risk Manager is responsible for the facilities risk management activities, which include a working knowledge of the self-insurance and captive insurance programs, administering the risk management program on a daily basis, analyzing events for risks and liabilities, and providing ongoing assessment of risks to minimize loss to the organization. Utilize skills to complete complex investigations and identify regulatory and other loss exposures.

Utilize skills to complete complex investigations and identify regulatory and other loss exposures.
As a Risk Manager, You Will
- Support the delivery of 24 hour on-call risk services to the health system
- Serve as a resource to both team members and providers for risk related matters
- Conduct investigations of complaints and potentially compensable events to include chart reviews, interviews, peer review and billing analysis and document findings
- Collaborate with Quality, operational leaders and medical staff to reduce critical/sentinel events
- Assist with the development and coordination of education programs to new team members and to promote organization awareness of potential risk issues
- Maintain processes and structures to analyze, investigate and monitor regulatory and other matters including SMDA, EMTALA, restraint death reporting, controlled substance diversion, etc.
- Actively participate in meetings at an organizational level
- 4 year college degree preferred, OR
- 5 years of related experience can substitute for two years of the required education, OR
- 7 years of related experience can substitute for four years of required education
- 3 to 5 years of experience in risk, quality, legal, business, financial or insurance is required
- 36 hours a week
- Hybrid ()
- Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
- Will work 90% remotely and 10% on-site or when neeed
- Required to work On-Call, when needed
