Release of Information Specialist

Description

We are in search of a medical records specialist to join our team in New Rochelle, New York. The selected individual will be tasked with handling and processing information requests, primarily from insurance companies, and ensuring the efficient and accurate management of customer records. This role also demands proficiency in Electronic Medical Records, multi-line phone systems, and basic office skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process information requests from various stakeholders, primarily insurance companies.
• Maintain and manage electronic medical records with accuracy.
• Handle phone inquiries and provide appropriate responses or solutions.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.
• Uphold high standards of customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform data entry tasks as part of maintaining accurate customer records.
• Assist with remote training processes as needed.
• Adapt to potential future changes in the role, such as transitioning to a hybrid work model.
• Utilize basic office skills to support administrative tasks and functions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices to ensure quality service delivery.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Experience with answering multi-line phone systems.
• Excellent basic office skills such as data entry, filing, and scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with health information management practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
